www.youtube.com/watch?v=DcCLfMn5_c0HG - They're not a great defensive team, but they forced us to turn the ball over. -- Reporter - You guys had a lot of turnovers was that something they were doing, or... HG - No, just a lack of concentration... To hold them to 55 points in their own building and not even be in the game, it's obviously gotta be something with our offense. -- Never been a huge fan of the kid regardless... but seems to have absolutely no respect for us even after the beatdown.

Embarrassing comments from the kid. Did he just proclaim that his team scored 34 points in 40 minutes against a bad defensive team? Must be the meth.

Maybe if Frodo leaves the one ring to rule them all at home before the next SDSU game he'll show up.

I hope that is the attitude in the whole NM locker room.

They got embarrassed so he's just covering his ass. If it was a close game he'd probably be more diplomatic. Truth be told, he's overrated anyway. Our guards had their way with him today so I hope he stays healthy for round 2.

He was a son on the Sound of Music in his early years (4th from right). He still wears the studly outfit shown in the picture while hiking in the mountains around Albuquerque. He has also been known to wear clothes that look more like drapes.

Kind of comical really.
Because we held them to 55 points it is evident we can play D... but the fact that they held us to 34 is no reason to feel they are a good defensive team.
Nice logic.

It happens to be good bulletin board material for the next game against them. And it is probably out of frustration. NM was just out of sorts today, part our D and part an off day.
I like how our team is maturing. J Franklin and W Shep seem to be less like "punks" and it shows on the court. It looks like Fisher is righting the ship. Our guys are helping the other team if a guy is down. No complaining at the refs. If this continues, I have high hopes.

How anyone can claim we are not a good defensive team after being held to 34 points is the sign of a frustrated player that is not thinking straight. I am sure after reviewing the tapes, the truth will come out.

From ESPN.com... Lobos guard Hugh Greenwood agreed, saying, "We just didn't execute. They're not a great defensive team but they forced us to turn the ball over." Same quote. I read that and thought to myself, "You have got to be kidding me! He didn't really say that!" But he did say it. "They're not a great defensive team..." Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.

^ Bs, it shows his arrogance. Give credit where credit is due. They're gonna get murdered in Vegas too. Wyoming, coming off a home loss and Lobos after that pathetic perfomance, that's gonna be an interesting game!

Uh, you guys are way too sensitive. Sensitive? Hardly. Greenwood was simply stucking fupid. Bad enough to get blown out but you don't have to then just hand your opponent bulletin board material for the next go round.

Kind of comical really. Because we held them to 55 points it is evident we can play D... but the fact that they held us to 34 is no reason to feel they are a good defensive team. Nice logic. Considering that another factor in our relatively low scoring was that for the final 10 minutes or so we were playing a slow down game, milking the clock down to the last 10 seconds before even initiating the attack on the basket (also impacting shot selection as we had limited options with time running out, rather than looking for open shots around the 20 second mark), our own offensive strategy probably had as much to do with it as their defensive pressure (which was, admittedly, pretty darned good)
