Since we are coming from north county, it might be good if we could eat on campus before the game, thus allowing us to get a better parking place. Question: is there somewhere on campus where we could eat lunch? Recommendations?

Yep, at Viejas but remember, it is the era of Prohibition...again.
They need to start selling beer and wine at Viejas.

I was saying just the other day that they should make it possible for me to buy beer for my 12 year old granddaughter at the game. Seriously, I was wondering if the school had a cafeteria or something similar that is open to the public. It's been a long, long time since I was on campus except for a basketball game. AzWm

Also, where is Trujillos? Not too far from Viejas, I hope. I assume that it would except plastic money.

Trujillos is located across campus on the north east corner of college and Montezuma next to ARCO.

Order the Sigma Pi Burrito. It's a carne asada burrito wrapped in a quesadilla.

AzWm Yup, when they used to sell beer at Viejas I saw many an old dude distressed that they were coerced into buying beer for their pre-teen relatives.

Oh, $6 pitchers too! Words of wisdom from my Galaxy SII! 4.0 is a valid alternative to Trujillo's should you not feel like mexican food or getting your money's worth of Viejas' facilities. If my calculations are correct, 4.0 should be filling up here in the next 5 minutes or so, though.

If arriving early enough I'd go to K&B in del cerro right by Windmill Farms. Its right across the 8 just off college ave. But if you prefer to get parked (especially today) then I'd look at the places recommended above. I noticed nobody suggested Chipotle. That would be an option too.

The fam and I get some pastrami sandwiches (#9) from Togos and bring it over to the games.
I'd also recommend getting a few carne asada burritos to go from any -bertos shacks.

Since it has been made a regulation to not sell alcohol at sporting events on campus, just why do you think that would change? If, you need it that bad stop at a restaurant off campus, and get it there. + For anonther good & quick place to get something to eat before game time I stop at Mike's off Mira Mesa Blvd. on the way down to football/basketball games. I get a nice Sub, chips, & drink to bring with me.

Aren't roach coaches permitted on game day? They could make a bundle parking above Viejas.

Aren't roach coaches permitted on game day? They could make a bundle parking above Viejas. Seriously. If there's still a few things that could be improved for game days, one of them would be the food choices at Viejas Arena. Let the roach coaches roll out the spread - it might incentivize the few regulars to step it up a notch or two.
