Hate to say it, but when I look at it like this it's pretty underwhelming. One ranked team (No. 23 at that) and three wins over San Diego Christian. Most of the rest are against Big West schools... Most college basketball teams in CA are in the Big West... Only team in CA not on the list that would be nice is Stanford. Cal's there, UCLA, USC, St. Mary's, Long Beach, UCSB...not sure what you were expecting. Yeah, you're right. Not exactly sure what I was expecting either, just making the observation that "28 in a row over CA teams" sounds better than looking at the actual list. And crazy only one of those teams were in the top 25.

It shows consistency. As UCLA found with Cal Poly, it is not easy to never slip up.

Last I looked, Duke, North Carolina and Indiana weren't in California. There are some pretty big name opponents in there. Cal x2, USC x2 and UCLA x1 is OK in my book. Who were you expecting to see?

I am surprised Santa Clara isn't on the list.

There's not too many states in the union where, if you were to beat every single one of their D-1 teams, you'd just say WOW!
Each state has its share of clunkers. Conquering California ain't too shabby. I suppose if you had an unbeaten string of 27 against teams from North Carolina, it'd be as impressive. Indiana, maybe the same. Texas does OK, as does Florida. But no state can escape having the occasional UC Riverside, for example.
We've done incredibly well. UCLA would love to have our streak.
