Why get mad at the staff? Isn't it their job to evaluate talent, evaluate the academics of future Aztecs.. For whatever reason, if the staff made the decision to "pull" his offer, doesn't anyone think it may be justified? Not a good enough player ( doesn't have offers from any where else it looks) shopping himself ( article about him wanting Tulane)... This staff won us a championship n have brought in good student athletes. If they choose to take back an offer, I'm perfectly fine with it. Then you better not be one of the people bitching when a commit flips on us after telling us how great SDSU is for months.

We cannot afford to give scholarships to marginal players either athletically or academically anymore.

We cannot afford to give scholarships to marginal players either athletically or academically anymore. I guess this is correct, but it's a dirty business this recruiting game. Big reason why I never fault kids for switching commitments. Everyone just need to do what is best for themselves and/or the program.

We cannot afford to give scholarships to marginal players either athletically or academically anymore. Batiste is not marginal athletically, he is one of the best corners in the west and was hands down our best secondary commit.

doesn't look to have any other offers so I wouldn't say he was our best sec recruit. And I'm no genius but if ur the best athlete on the field u don't go from Corner to LB. maybe Cor to safety but Cor to LB? If we were having issues at LB ur telln me we would put Leon McFadden there? Soo I'm guessing this is a good move on the staffs part to recognize a potential mistake before it happens

It's too bad Batiste decommitted. He's from a top notch program at Upland HS. Nonetheless, experience says wait to hear the SDSU coaches side of the story (if we ever will) before concluding which side was at fault. With Batiste out, I think a commit from Dionza Blue, Montrel Meander, or Kaylan Montgomery is coming soon (I have no idea...just a prediction)

This probably happens more often than we know. I expect we'll see a few more kids move around as LOI day gets closer. Just part of the process.

Cole Huff sustained an injury as a senior. Not the same. Spekaing of Huff, he has been doing well as a freshman at UNR and has started the last few games.
