Moving forward we may lose all those teams, but will bring a couple more western schools with us. Who? I'm hearing rumors that both Fresno and Nevada have no interest in paying exit fees to the MWC just to sign up for exit fees from a conference that seems to be imploding. The economic analysis is entirely different for a program that has already committed to the Big East than it is for one who has yet to make that commitment. Yoda out... .

It will all depend on the TV deal. If the deal is worth $5 million+ a year those exit fee worries will disappear. Not to mention the Big East will be flush with exit fee money itself and may be in a position to help. An of course, BYU does not have any exit fee issues, if they can be convinced/cajoled to join.

The MWC exit fee is foregoing about 2 mil - 2 1/2m bucks, money that very well could/likely will be made up year 1. Yoda, as always, knows absolutely nothing.

And, with the loss of New York and New England, what if the deal is worth $2.5 mil? You've likely lost 60% of your television sets. Yoda out... .

Rocky isn't worried about conference stuff - just about winning this week's game.
Compares WYO's spread to Fresno State's attack.

This just in--San Diego State will be joining the new Pacific Division of the Atlantic Coast Conference replacing Maryland. This will be in all sports where competition takes place in water or in which water is used to hydrate the participants.

If it's only $2.5 million it's not as easy a decision for some of the schools, but still $1.8 million per year more then the MWC. I also think the Big East will pick up the MWC exit fee. More national exposure, better quality teams and better TV deal - still sounds like a good decision to me.
