Why in the world would he want to go to UNLV? I mean, correct me if I'm wrong, but arn't they already deep at the 2 spot with two legitimate 4 star shooting guards in Bryce Jones and Katin Reinhardt? Why would he want to go there, be essentially 3rd on the depth chart and ride the pine behind the both of them, when he could come here to SDSU and get a golden opportunity to start right away next year? Can't honestly see why he would want to go there and essentially be a role player...... Unless the guy doesn't mind accepting a role as a role player off the bench, I can't fathom why he would want to go to UNLV. If you are a 5-star recruit, you don't worry about being a role player. IMO, SDSU has just as much talent as UNLV, the only difference is he may be more needed (for his preferred position) at SDSU.

From everytyhing I've heard or read about this kid is he wants to go somewhere that he has a legitimate chance to come in and start right away. That would not be the ideal spot for him at UNLV, imo.
I agree that he is more of a need at his position here, and would be a perfect fit at the 2 spot here, as well as an ideal fit for Fisher's system.
Hopefully, when it's all said and done, he will see that it's a more ideal situation for him to come in and contribute right away at SDSU.

so lets say we loose out on hamiltons what are our options? do we go after a big or do we stache a scholarship for a 14' recruit? Hey, that's a good idea. We put a fake mustache on a recruit that we want to hide from the other schools. Oh.....wait....did you mean "stash"? [mod's note: post in violation of board rules deleted]

Could be a lot of competition at the SG next year, and the year after, with Jones, Reinhardt and couple of others, plus D. Cook at the PG. Also thought the Rebels were after a top forward from the East Coast. UCLA has added a few guards this year, plus has two verbals for 2013. Hamilton had said , he wanted to digest the offers this winter after he has made all his visits, see what it looks like in the spring and make his decision.

[/quote] For some reason, maybe I'm easily amused this morning or I really need that cup of Java now, but this pic had me rolling when I stumbled on to it. Then I remembered a friend of mine had the same kinda dog when we were in high school and he used to make the same face. Of course it was much funnier then when we were under the influence of uh.......the munchies, ya that's it. Thanks for the time machine effect back to funnier days.

This thread went downhill fast!!! Unrecognized sarcasm, bad humor, then over the top aggression.

That really is a shame...I thought we had a real chance with the Hamilton Brothers. I know it isn't over yet, but hard to keep hopes up.

I really want him to be sure about where he goes. The last thing you need is recruits that aren't sure they made the right choice. That's how transfers and bounce-backs come about.

If he doesn't commit to spring we still got a good shot I'd think. Of course UCLA is the favorite, its most fresh in his mind. I bet UNLV will be the favorite after this weekend

Josh Gershon is reporting that UCLA is now in the lead. I thought UCLA wasn't even in his final 5. I thought he was down to SDSU, UNLV, Washington, Baylor and UTEP. When did they all of a sudden enter the fray Also, havn't they been busy loading up on guards as well? Another place that does not look like an ideal fit for Isaac to come in and potentially start right away.

Agree. People seem to forget that UCLA not only have a commit from Noah Allen (SF)but they also have commits from: Zach Lavine, #6 PG from the state of Wash., a 5 star. Allerik Freeman, #13 SG from Findlay Prep, a 4 star. Add them to the current Frosh class and they are loaded in the back court. Think Isaac will become an Aztec.
