Moser can rebound. His offensive game involves jacking up threes and he can't play one on one defense in the post or the perimeter, he will make a nice career overseas. Nice valid points. Except the godly Franklin played less mins and games than Moser, but still managed to throw up 157 3PA compared to Mosers 133 3PA. If you wanna look at Shooting %'s. Moser 45% FG 33% 3P Franklin 43% FG 32% 3P 33% of Moser's FGA were 3 PA. 39% of Franlin's FGA were 3 PA. but...one person tends to say something they know nothing about on this board and the followers just repeat it not even looking at the facts. Also he can't play defense yet had 6 steals and 4 blocks to go with his 19 points and 9 rebounds in the win vs SDSU.

Moser is a big, Jamaal is a wing. Plus Jamaal makes up for it by getting to the line twice as often as Moser at 200 FTA/400 FGA, Moser by comparison is at 100 FTA/ 409 FGA. Jamaal does shoot a higher % of threes per attempt but this is because Moser has many more put back chances.

He's terrific in the passing lanes and on help D but look at his synergy one on one numbers.

Jamal Franklin is a terrific player. mentally tough. but he has a lot on his plate. has to marry your team. deashawn. Stephenson is average. polee can't shoot. Shepard is raw ( will be great) Thames is ok. Franklin is great but has to carry You convieniently left out Chase Tapley in your overall assessment. Guy is a lights out shooter, and is easily one of the best pure shooters in the conference, coming into this season averaging 16 PPG, 45.5% from the field and 43.3% from behind the arc. So, to suggest that Jaamal Franklin "has to carry the team" is inaccurate. Is he the major cog in the offense? Yes, but he is not a one man show by any stretch. The Aztecs backcourt is loaded with both Franklin and Tapley, as well as Thames and Rahon all returning. Should really be a solid season for both the Aztecs and Rebels. I'm not going to argue that, at least on paper, The Rebels look like the slight favorite in the MWC, however, do not sleep on the Aztecs. I understand UNLV has one hell of a recruiting class coming in to pair with their returning starters, however, the Aztecs recruiting class is very solid as well. Not to mention very athletic(Polee can jump out of a building and him and Shepard are athletic freaks) and they return 4 starters from last years squad in Thames, Tapley, Franklin and Rahon. As well as a solid wing in O'Brien who not only was one of the best players on Utah's squad during his Freshman season in the 2010-2011 season, he also was certainly the most improved player on their sqaud down the stretch averaging double figures in scoring and rebounds in some of the conferences biggest games vs the likes of New Mexico, UNLV and SDSU. Looking forward to an exciting season from both squads. Both are top 25 caliber sqauds and both SHOULD live up to their billing.

Rebels look slightly better on paper? ?? Besides Franklin, your coach would trade any of his players. for our ours. Fisher wanted Bryce Jones sooo badly. way more than polee and o Brian. If you wanted to go by projections, unlv has 4 potential NBA players to your 1... slightly is understatement

4 potential NBA players do not equal to an automatic MWC conference or tournament champ or great season/team!

I am at the point where I think this has to be a SDSU fan making fun of the stupidity of UNLV grads/students. No one can be this bad at writing a coherent sentence. "Our ours," really?

Do you try to consistently fail this hard, or are you just a 'natural?' Look... it's been real fun verbally sodomizing a bunch of Vegas valets and barbacks form Freemont St. for the better part of nine pages. And I'm starting to get the impression that's exactly why you keep coming back for more - you like it. Whatever floats your boat, Nancy... I guess this makes good practice for when we sweep you guys - again - en route to denying you another conference title - again.

why is this ruble beatdown not off-topic? Good question... I don't think I've ever seen such a sorry group of masochists in the history of the internets.

What I find funny is, when you have no answer for facts, you have to resort to making comments about stereotypes that all Las Vegans work in the Casino industry and bartenders of park cars for a living, and just for the record, those bar backs and valets probably make a hell of a lot more money than you.
I might hate your fan base, but I have a ton of respect for your BB team and think it's going to be 2 possibly 3 great battles this year, but as far as talent goes, the only player SDSU has on their roster who would even have a chance at starting at UNLV is JF, and I'm pretty confident UNLV has at least 4 players who would start at SDSU.
I'm not saying UNLV is the better team as of right now, because until the season officially begins, everything else is speculative, but on paper I really like our chances of winning a MWC regular season and tournament title and hopefully making a deep run in March.
