homie, I don't expect a powerhouse already. OTOH, I don't expect us to choke away games like SJSU either.

Rocky has been a part of the defensive recruiting for 3+ years and they have shown no improvement. Time to call a spade a spade. SD has way too many options for a mediocre college football team to be supported. No, SD's problem is it has too many people like you. Half a$$ psuedo fans who think that they know whats best for the program when they don't bother to go to games or support the team. your $hitty attitude is a part of the problem. it still amazes me that most on this board think we should be some powerhouse already when we've had just two winning seasons in a row after being the laughing stock of FBS football for over a decade. How long did it take Fisher to build his program into a powerhouse after it was in a similar situation? There was some initial success but then the team regressed a bit then steadily gained steam to be what it is today. your attitude = fish has plateud threads. Now quite equivalent. Fisher has been to the mountain top and knows how to get there. Rocky has dwelt in a valley with a trip or two to a medium-sized plateau and thus has no idea how to get where most of us seek.

How long did it take Fisher to build his program into a powerhouse after it was in a similar situation? There was some initial success but then the team regressed a bit then steadily gained steam to be what it is today. your attitude = fish has plateud threads. Been to 4+ games for 3 straight years. Try again. I will say this one last time. The Fisher/Rocky Long situation could not be more different. Fisher took over a program that hadn't been to postseason in more than a decade. He was taking over a bottom feeder program that hadn't won more than 15 games since the 85 Smokey Gaines team. This is no comparison to Rocky Long who took over a 8-4 team with positive momentum and better players that Hoke recruited getting up in class ranks. Please stop with the silly comparisons that have absolutley no merrit and the blanket statements. Fisher obviously had a plan from the beginning; people don't want to say but he basically forced kids to go and had to rebuild the talent from the ground up. Rocky Long already has a foundation here with talent that is showing no progress. This is without talking about their previous stops where Fisher had a lot of success and Rocky was mediocre.

Is Nevada dense or what? Everything you read about this kid says he and his dad have stars in their eyes. So they sure as hell aren't going to be impressed with Reno.
Reno Hightower: She's gonna leave me as soon as I fix her car. Jack Dundee: You gonna fix it? Reno Hightower: Hell no! I love her!
