Before he is fired or forced to hire a defensive coordinator?
We ruled this game game on paper, yet our special teams and D blew it.

Hell he installed this gimmick defense and we don't have anyone else who can coach it... I say get the hiring committee back together upon seasons end unless he can make some MAJOR improvements going into conference play and I don't mean just against the cupcakes.

Scrap the 3-3-5 and Rocky. There is no defense at all. This team below average. The Spartans were driving on the Aztecs like they're a DII.
While we're at it, the 2 OL should not be starting.

Yeah. I never had a problem with Rocky. I knew he would never get SDSU to top 25 status but figured we'd win enough under him. Three bad losses and he's not 1.5 seasons in. I hate the overreaction after a loss but it seems pretty reasonable to say he has to go. I don't care how close San Jose came to beating Stanford, they aren't very good.

I agree. This is not an overreaction. The man needs to change things, and FAST. We should not have lost this game, PERIOD.

I am not among the oldest on this board, nor the youngest, but I am just getting tired of being an Aztec football fan.
As soon as there is a good coach to be had, fire Rocky!

If Rocky is unable to win 7 games this year, he will be in danger. JMO.
7 is far from certain. 6 wins is a 50/0 proposition.

Problem is we run an o-3-5 defense , LB and secondary are fine but any QB with 40 seconds to throw is gonna kill you.

Like it or hate it, Rocky is with us for at least 2 more years unless he chooses to walk away. Everyone needs to back away from the keyboard on this subject until after the season.

Long agreed to be paid only a relatively small final sum -- about $315,000 -- in case SDSU should ever fire him for losing too many games, according to a copy of Long’s contract recently obtained by The San Diego Union-Tribune. Under the same circumstance, SDSU’s two previous head coaches had contracts that required the university to pay them most of their full salaries for every year left on their contracts – about $700,000 per year.www.utsandiego.com/news/2011/aug/15/no-fancy-buyout-sdsus-long/He is far from untouchable.
