LMAO.. Wilner is far from an SJSU writer. In fact.. pop over to some SJSU boards.. They hate him. Why? Because he doesnt give the school any respect... Except he figured something out this year. They are good. Better than our second rate opponent, SDSU. You know.. SJSU's little brother.. Time for you guys to get what will be your annual beating. HAHAHAHAHAHAH Stupid little Aztecs

Wilner is a small time writer. He's butt-hurt by the Boise State and SDSU defections because his beloved SJSU is going to a very weakened MWC. Ah, the butt-hurt proxy. When have Non Big East Member shears that one before? Wilner isn't small-time. He's pretty well respected and has over 8,000 Twitter followers. To compare, Ann Killion has 6k and local SF guy Ray Ratto has 25k followers (is on Comcast and pushes Giants, Warriors, 49ers... pretty much every team in the Bay Area). To compare, highly respected national guys like the NFL's Tim Cowlishaw (50k) and Yahoo's Dan Wetzel (100k) are definitely up there, but to call Wilner small-time is inaccurate. You may not like what he writes, but I'd leave it at that. As to the "second-rate" comment, I admit it sounds bad. But then, how would you define a "first-rate" team? Top 25? Top 40? Top 50? For me, I don think it was meant as so much a slight as it was that SDSU isn't, say, Stanford or USC. Just my .02 there...

Jon Wilner is not an SJSU writer. He covers college sports for the San Jose Mercury News, which has the 5th highest circulation in the United States; ahead of The Washington Post, NY Post, Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times, Dallas Morning News, and Phildelphia Inquirer. Wilner also casts votes in the weekly and final AP Top 25 poll. He's also the SJSU beat writer. Now run along sport. No. Jimmy Durkin is the beat writer that covers SJSU for the San Jose Mercury. Wilner covers all of the Bay Area schools. He's certainly no homer for SJSU, nor does he take cheap shots. FYI, Wilner picked SDSU over SJSU this week. Sorry to let the facts get in the way genius.

Its funny to see SJSU fans being cocky. I actually like that we are coming off a near loss and they are coming off of a 20 point win against CSU.
SJSU should be thanking SDSU for leaving the MWC or their program would have only a year or two left to exist. We've given them a lifeline.

Lol @ a SJSU writer calling SDSU a second rate opponent. He then picks State to win.

Our beat writer predicts a SJSU win.

Thank gawd we're leaving the MWC. Their new and incoming members are going to piss off the founding members, on their MWC board. Instead of pulling for each other, they're going to bring their little man complex from which they came from. Bank on it.
