anyone know if former UCLA recruit Eddie Printz , QB, from Marrieta GA ,is talking with the Aztecs. A Pro-style 6'2" QB. Bruins just dropped him from their list of recruits, (9.12.2012),

Feel sorry for the kid and his family. They accepted an offer and the strings attached. The kid has been off the market all summer and now has to start over again. Guess screwing kids is the new Mora era standard.
Mora just Sanddusky'd the kid.

I don't see what the big deal is. He decommitted from SMU and yet when a school does the same to him, it's supposed to be worse?

This is one of the reasons why I don't let it bug me when kids commit and take their trips else where. You gotta keep your options open... There was a story where LSU cut a QB to add another recruit it goes both ways. I just think its foolish to attack 17 and 18 yr old KIDS for changing their mind when 40-50Yr old coaches do the same

Well the deal was they would not recruit any QBs if he did not go on trips etc.Deon Martin RB from Bakersfield who was decomittted by Cal has also said he is very interested in SDSU.

When they did, he got upset. UCLA told him maybe he should look around. They did not officially take his offer away. Recruiting though is not what it used to be though, that's for sure.

He was recruited by a coach at SMU , who left and went to UCLA. The coach recruited him to UCLA. Was a 3 star recruit but UCLA thinks they can do better now. Question is ,is he someone the Aztecs should pursue ? described as a Pro - Style QB . He may also be looking at Mizzu

Another case of a kid being "100% committed" (in this case to UCLA), but had scheduled official visits elsewhere. Good for the Bruins!

I say let all the big schools pull their offers from all their recruits, then they can come here and enjoy the weather.

What other schools offered him? How interested are we on him?

He has 12 offers including Purdue, Arkansas, Auburn, Virginia etc.
With these many offers doubtful he will be wearing the red and black.

Supposedly he and his father really liked California, so SDSU isn't out of the realm of possibility.

He has 12 offers including Purdue, Arkansas, Auburn, Virginia etc. With these many offers doubtful he will be wearing the red and black. Althouh he has offers for all those big times schools they have all since filled their QB spots. For instance Auburn already has 2 QB commits and can't offer Printz anymore. That is part of the problem for Printz and may benefit us. Printz committed early to UCLA so other schools like Auburn, Arkansas, ect. who offered him moved on and offered other QBs and filled up their QB class for this year. Now that Printz is back on the market, all those schools no longer have any room for him. SDSU wasn't planning on taking a QB this year so they didn't offer any QB. As a result we may get one of the best QB recruits to fall in our lap. That would be awesome, as he would be a great addition to the Mesa!

Printz isn't just a run of the mill 3-star guy. He's rated 5.7 by Rivals, or one-tenth of a point below four stars, and #55 nationally by Scout - Jeffries was #59. So he would be a very good get.
