Last I heard is that we aren't. Do you know the reason? Or is that all you heard If our current LB targets dont pan out he could be a decent plan b

All I heard is that they aren't or weren't. Things could change.

He's building his resume and trying to erase the stigma of being a lazy player, perhaps?

It'd be pretty cool to have the Seau's both lined up for us

I read somewhere awhile back that he was returning home with the hopes of eventually joining his cousin on the Aztecs. However, SDSU was not actively recruiting him because they did not believe he played with a "high motor." Maybe he can change that with some solid play at JC?

Geographically convenient he's playing at Grossmont.
All he as to do is earn the coaches' trust to bring him down the fwy to the Mesa.

We are recruiting Ian. He was offerred a chance to play here this year, but would have had to waste a year of eligibility because he already used his redshirt at K State. So with that being said he chose to actually use this year to play, get better and Im sure get confidence back (5 sacks is a good start). He wants to stay close to home and SC is his dream school but unless he blows up and SC wants a JC guy like him, then SDSU and UCLA to be the favorites.

Articles states he is a "rush end." "The 6-foot-3, 240-pound redshirt freshman has strong-armed the Griffins’ first two opponents as a rush end."
Kid is playing like a beast. Good to hear. I'm sure the Aztecs are on him. Sounds like the "motor" concerns are bogus.

There appears to be a some Samoan gents with interesting physical specs also on the team. Any prospects among them?

I just checked out Grossmont's roster. My neighbor is on that team and is listed at 6'1". There is no way in heck that's true. I'm 6'1", barefoot, and he isn't that close. They must pad their numbers a little bit. As long as the sacks and tackles are accurate I'm on board.

@agustin_ASR: Not exactly sure how long ago this happened, but just confirmed that SDSU has offered Grossmont C.C. OLB Ian Seau. Love this offer for SDSU.

I read on scout (Oct 18 topic) that he leads the country in sacks with 16.5. The Aztecs need a pass rush and he fit the bill. I t would be a big get if he signs, (paysite) jcfootball.scout.com/2/1231211.html
