This time last year BBA made ridiculous claims about Jamaal... Most of which were damn near spot on. This time around, I'll just keep quiet. This is why you are the wisest of the elves. BTW my Padres pint totally shattered once it rolled out of my truck Friday morning. f****** elf. It's alright. It's not like you don't already have 15 more to replace it.

I am dying to know what this unbiased breakdown was.... Basically Winston Shepard is overrated, and everybody else is awesome and is a poor man's version of a NBA player. Great stuff.

Lol wtf happened to BBA's OP? I didn't even know you could delete those without taking out the whole thread. BBA, I have nothing against you, but if you deleted what you wrote, you are a coward. I deleted it because these people can't appreciate my basketball expertise. I'll post my opinions as it gets closer to the season. For now it's just a waste of knowledge that I don't want to see disrespected on this board. But just in case you were wondering...it was dead on! BBA, there's no doubt you spice up this board - a much needed thing during the summer doldrums. You've even gained a few disciples, which was probably one of your major goals. I don't consider myself one of those disciples, but I'd like you to still keep trying to convert me. I for one appreciated you trying to make a fair analysis of the rest of the team - no matter how agonizing it may have been for you (hence your subsequent deletion). Just remember, those who make their opinions widely known are going to have their share of critics. But if I ever ran into you at Viejas, I'd definitely offer to buy you a beer. We'd just have to wait until post-game, obviously. (Not because I think you still have a game to play - because they don't sell beer there dummy!)

D'oh! Too late to read about how much better Shrigley is vs. Winston despite neither playing a game yet for SDSU.

BBA, you were right last year so you earned a free pass this year. I'm sure ALL of us want you to be right this year (as painful as next year might be, lol).
Even though 1-0 means you have always been right....1-0 also means you have only been right once.

Even though 1-0 means you have always been right....1-0 also means you have only been right once. I'll be right again. In a nut shell: -Jamaal= Team leader, Top 3 nations leading scorer, All American, Conf. POY, Wooden Award Finalist -Dwayne Polee, JJ O'brien and Matt Shrigley are better than Winston Shepard and will play bigger roles for us. Winston will get the opportunities early in the season, but his raw offensive game will ultimately be passed over for the more polished forwards we have. -Deshawn Stephens will be a major surprise. Will lead us in rebounding and blocked shots while starting at the 5 all year. -Chase and X will remain as solid as they were last year providing much needed leadership along with Jamaal. Rahon will have a better shooting year with a reduced role. -Spencer will not play a huge role. -No idea who Johnson is or what he does but he won't be better than Deshawn.

I enjoy BBA's analysis. Always have.
Alot of his predictions on Jamaal last year were accurate. And there is no denying that Jamaal is a phenomenal talent. I can't wait to see how he does this season.

I am dying to know what this unbiased breakdown was.... Basically Winston Shepard is overrated, and everybody else is awesome and is a poor man's version of a NBA player. Great stuff. No wonder he pulled it. I think I'll let the games play out before I make that call. Sadly, that us par for BBAs course, tear down other players at Jamaal's expense. I am excited to see the team come together but note cautiously that Fish has alluded that chemistry of the team will be key but he didn't seem sure yet. Sent from my DROID RAZR using proboards

Don't worry about how people are responding to your thread. You obviously have your haters on here, that's no secret, but don't let that keep you from posting. It's not that people don't appreciate your "basketball knowledge", it's that you push it across in a pretty condescending, know-it-all fashion. Work on that. BBA doesn't come across as condescending. He does come across as a know-it-all, but can you blame him? Much of his analysis has been spot-on. BBA, I think the posters on here really like the info you give, they would just like for you to give your thoughts on other players. You're currently at 95% Jamaal, 5% everyone else. Yeah, THAT'S the problem. If J-Frank was the reincarnation of Magic, MJ and LeBron all rolled into one, I still wouldn't want to read so much about the guy. At least I wouldn't unless everybody else on the team had about as much talent as most of us here. Since we instead have a bunch of quality . . .
