It's great to have Lynell back on campus. He was one of the biggest recruits in our school's history, and nice to be able to claim that one of our GA's is a recent Super Bowl champion.

Was thinking what a wealth of info he could be to current players in terms of not taking anything for granted. Here was a blue chip RB whose chance at the next level was severely hampered by injuries incurred here on the Mesa. I would hope that our current players realize just how quickly a career can be altered and take advantage of the education that is there waiting for them. Good luck to both Lynell and Doug as you progress in your careers.

I thought he had a raw deal here by one of the coaching staffs - maybe Chuck Long's. Ignored after recovering from one of his injuries. I'm surprised he wanted to come back. He's a good character guy.

I'm not so sure he even won on those days..... But we were unbeaten on everyone of thse days. I vaguely recall Chuck Long's first game against UTEP being on a Thursday night at Qualcomm. So, if that's the case, then he was at least 0-1 on Thursdays...
