Well, Wagner may have an issue, as they're re-opening the Natalie Wood death case.

Any guesses as to who might be our next verbal? Hope we can close out this year's recruiting class with a bang and not a whimper. I think the bang was when we got all those transfers via the pac 12. We did just get a verbal from Jeff Overbaugh, a long snapper!

According to my best estimates, we have 70 players on scholarship, including the transfers and already enrolled new recruits.
That leaves us at 15 scholarships to give with 17 already committed. My numbers could be off, and they probably are, but I don't think we're going to take too many more players unless they are highly regarded by the staff.

If that class actually happens it certainly looks positive, yes?

If that class actually happens it certainly looks positive, yes? IMO, depends how you look at it. As far as O-linemen, maybe the best class ever. However, most think we desperately need a nose tackle or two and unless we get the kid from Texas, we apparently won't be signing one. Same goes for comparing to other schools. If we were going to remain in the MWC, this would be a better class than anybody except Boise. However, it appears as though it will be inferior to everybody in the Big East except UConn and Navy. Of course, from now on we will be able to use BE membership as a selling point, which we couldn't at the beginning of this recruiting cycle.

Guess I keep forgetting about Barrett since he's listed on Rivals et al. as a DE. However, since he's already 245 in HS, he's apparently got the frame for it.

Travis Coons flips to Washington. They got Coons, we got Kazee. I'll take that trade.

Get ready, because Boise's putting the full court press on Darien Barrett.

Get ready, because Boise's putting the full court press on Darien Barrett. Damn. 5 days to go. So it's cut-throat week for recruiters.

Cut throat is right. I expect the phones are ringing for most of our recruits, I just hope they stay commited. I'm sure a couple will be persuaded away. Happens ever year. Loose some, gain some.
