Are these published weights, or?? Thanks for posting K5. They're a combination of preseason roster and final depth chart. Whatever I could find.

Thanks for the work k5.......believe Adam Roberts, FB, will be a true Soph. next year. He was one of the true Freshmen that played this year. The LB weights seem very light.

I thought that Alec Johnson and Jimmy Miller came in with the same recruiting class. How could one be a true senior and the other a RS senior?

I know the system and the emphasis on speed but Geezus...looks like the linebacking corps.

The weights of the D-linemen concern me a lot too, Morphius. We should be fine next year in a MWC sans TCU and maybe even Boise. However, there aren't any UNMs, UNLVs and CSUs in the Big East so we damn well better get some more beef at DT in the next year and a half.

The group, size wise, has a couple ends and a bunch of line backers. If we don't bring in some more size I can't imagine us stopping the run consistently against the better teams committed to running the ball.

I am fully aware it is the most difficult position to recruit which is why Rocky probably runs his scheme but he most know we have the need so maybe he is planing on converting a couple OLinemen. Siragusa?

The system has proven to be able to stop the run with ends in the 250-260 range and tackles in the 280-290 range. You guys are reading too much into the weights. IMHO the bigger problem we had on D last year was not enough speed.

The next heaviest guy is a 255lb JC transfer that didn't see the field this year and by most accounts is just "a guy." I hope this is wrong however. I hope the next Strenght coach is a good one and gets here pronto. Spin it anyway you want, its an area of concern at the very least.

I've stood next to Meredith. I'll eat my hat if he only weighs 250. Everybody loved our 2010 DL. Here's what their listed height/weights were on Signing Day... Ernie Lawson - 6-4 245 Jerome Long - 6-5 250 BJ Williams - 6-3 215 My point is, we should probably wait to see how they look in fall before we start judging them to be "too small."

Here's WVU's 2011 opening day 3-3-5 front six...
DT 6-6 265 (DE) NT 6-2 289 (DT) DE 6-3 245 (DE)
LB 6-1 235 (OLB) MLB 6-1 241 (MLB) LB 5-9 222 (OLB)
They were only significantly bigger at MLB and their DT/E was much taller than our DE.
