A 5 star player? Or a 5 star cancer?
It's all up to Fish.

Personally I don't think you don't turn down a five star guy if he wants to come. But Coach Fish has a strategy, maybe he fits and maybe he doesn't.
I do know Fish needs a guy who will play ASAP. King has to sit a year. Fish needs a bigger body who will get on the floor, Pelle and Johnson fit the bill.
Pelle and Johnson have to decide soon, King is just starting the process. His decision isn't going to be forth coming. However, I would say, if things pan out differently with they guys we have lined up, and we have a spot open, it would be a no brainer.

Didn't we just pass on the Oregon transfer and he would have been eligible the second semester next year. Personally I don't think you don't turn down a five star guy if he wants to come. I am close with a coach who knows Keala very well. Many in the LA coaching circles are surprised..... not that Keala King was dismissed.... but that it took THIS long for him to be dismissed. Most who knew him are not surprised that he has had issues. His rep is not good. Worse than Jabari Brown's for sure from what I hear. Now if Fish takes him, I'll shut up, be happy and delete this post. I doubt he is an Aztec, though. And many coaches would say they would be surprised if he does NOT have more issues down the road.

NealNieves Neal Nieves RT @doughaller: Long Beach State is a possible destination for former Arizona State guard Keala King.
Looks like he could be on our biggest Big West rival for 2013.

I would like to see this happen. I was thinking the same thing. We're going to need LB and UCSB to take that next step in the future for the good of the Big West. They can afford to take shots on guys like this. Now if the bottom of the Big West could just get their act together and be at least mediocre.

According to the LBSU board, Keala King is enrolled at LBSU and starting classes Monday. Good to have more talent in the Big West.

these 5 star guys all seem to be more hype than actual game-time ability.

ASU just lost to Utah, he must be jumping off a sinking ship - that is about as bad as it gets.

Was looking around at Hawaii as well. They are a young team this year and have some pretty good upside in future years. And one of their incoming recruits looks pretty promising: Orel Lev www.youtube.com/watch?v=A1rzIwf4wJw
