Wow! I'm so looking forward to the SDSU/USD baseball matchup this coming Spring! Anyone know what's going on tomorrow? Do we have a Lacross game that I didn't hear about?
I would imagine going 4-0 by first-time beating a ranked BCS team on the road will set a new standard to be fully lived up to the rest of the season and of course that would include beating TCU and Boise State.

4-0 would be epic. The last time I saw 4-0 was in 1981. We got there by clobbering a very good Iowa St. team that was ranked No. 12 in the country. (It was a home game, but we hung 52 pts. on them.) That win got us a No. 20 ranking, which, unbelievably, proved to be the high-water mark for the program over the past 30 years. We then promptly fell on our faces, losing the following week to BYU, then limping through the remaining schedule to finish at a pedestrian 6-5. So let's not do that here and now. The table is perfectly set. Beat Michigan, get ranked, don't stumble, and then force major showdowns with TCU and BSU.
Michigan is better than Washington State but not even close to TCU and Boise State. This is would be a great win but TCU and Boise State would be greater victories. The only thing Michigan has over us is the quality of depth. If our receivers step up like they did in game 1 then we shoud win. If they drop the ball and aren't on the same page as Lindley we become one dimensional. I'm betting Michigan puts everyone they can in the box and says if you are going to beat us it has to be on the outside. I think we'll see some TE's running wide open.
Let's start 4-0 and go into the TCU game as a ranked team.
What's the big deal about beating Michigan? I hear all this talk about beating Michigan when we also play Boise State. Is Boise State not a much bigger game than Michigan? Beating Michigan would not "make" our season...but if we managed to beat Boise State....now that's something to be excited about. Besides...Michigan isn't even that good this year.
Nope Michigan is not good. Just ranked #20. We beat those types of teams all the time. Who cares about beating Michigan. Let's just forfeit and play Boise.
