This whole east coast big least bias is BS. Until those teams get on a plane & start playing some OOC games out west and at 4,500+ elevations I don't see all the respect for schools that play a school bus stop travel schedule! JMO

Not much of a chance to even move up next week. Pitt at St. John’s and Ohio State at Purdue are the only tough games this week for teams above us. The only way we could move past Kansas, Texas, Ohio State, Pitt or Duke is if one of them loses. If none of them lose and we beat BYU in 2 weeks we would still stay at #6.

JMO #6 is appropriate. Notre Dame is a very good team even if they've had alot of home games. The Big East if murder no matter where the game is played. Plus, ND has multiple wins over current top 25 teams, including UConn, Georgetown, and they won at Pitt. Right now our best win is over #22 St. Mary's. Yes we beat Gonzaga when they were #11, but the Zags are clearly not the team people expected.

Sound logic 2000 - therefore, to complete your reasoning skills, the obvious answer is: Please do not beat BYU. It serves no meaninful purpose.

JMO E(ast Coast Bias)SPN plays a huge part in this. I watched SportsCenter on Sat night and SDSU was the LAST of the top 25 teams (that played Sat) to be highlighted, as though we were an after-thought. Such BS. Maybe when we make it to the Final Four we'll get some respect?

We are fighting for more than the conference championship. We need a #2 seed to have a good chance at the tourney crown so the byha game is a tiny bit important. Even if we win out there is ZERO chance we get a #1 so losing even 1 more game means they could drop us to a #3 with the Who's getting the #2 seed. I would HATE that!

This year is about breaking records and hanging banners. I don't know if you get one for a sweet 16, .. but I'm sure you get a regional championship banner for a final 4?
It would be a shame to set the program record for total wins and NCAA wins and not hang a single banner (kinda like BYU last year and again this year).

State can hang as many banners as they please, it's up to them. They could hang a banner for each one-and-done trip to the tourney if they wanted to. That said, I'm guessing they would hang a Sweet-16 banner if they won a couple games this year.

True, true... if I'm not mistaken, don't the women have a "Sweet 16" banner up in the rafters at the moment?

Yes, and the men have a new banner this year that lists every year in the tournament.
