If you're Greek, do you only eat at Greek restaurants? Variety is the reason some of us zoobs visit. Even we get bored of our own site sometimes. No but I sure would eat it at home, where it belongs. Posting a thread about how great a conference rival's star player is on an interview? That's equivalent of eating my native cuisine at home and some dude brings $#!+ on a shingle.

A couple of things about the interview and why it is relevant. In the middle of the conversation there was a short blurb about what he thinks of us, ... ho-hum. But at the end of the conversation Gottlieb hyped the game on the 26th. Should both teams go unscathed between now and next Saturday and one or more of the top five teams suffer a loss or two, this game will be huge. More than a week out and they are already hyping this game at the national level! When did they start hyping the Duke UNC game, two days prior?
People across the Country are beginning to think about watching this game on free TV Saturday. If nothing else, a little National exposure for the Aztecs can't hurt, and should be downright beneficial with a win, because people are getting hyped to see it. They want to see our team play. They want to see our student section and Show, too. It is great to hear the game hyped by a network that isn't even going to carry the game and basically ignores or has puts everybody in our conference on a low burner status.
Like Nacho, I enjoy the positive aspect of the Nation craning their necks to see one of our games. I would think a victory in this game, plus the two before it, will go a long way in assisting Coach Fisher in his recruiting efforts, too.

Why did Napoleon think it was a good idea to invade Russia? Why did Custer think a hilltop engagement of the Sioux in Eastern Montana would be just a little skirmish? Why did women keep marrying Henry VIII? The answer: Who knows? Some things just don't make much sense. Funny as always! You know I'm not a newbie around here, so...I'm on the fringe of being a socal and dshaw... but, if I was an Aztec fan, I would find it flattering. This year, I think I've seen Mizzu fans on here, USU and Navy fans. You've had some nice success this year in football, and kicking down doors in basketball. People are taking note of the Aztecs and want to know more about you. You will have all kinds of visitors the more success you have. The fact that BYU fans are showing up here let's you know that despite most knowing how bad you hate us, they are still willing to come on here (for whatever their reasons)...and mix it up with you. BYU fans on Aztec board = "tip-o-the-hat" to the Aztecs. Great word choice!!!

Nacho, Aren;t you a BYU guy just hanging on this board? Go sell Jimmer somewhere else, were full here. Try the Cougar Board if you want orgasmic responses to everything Jimmer. Ok bro Who are you to question my fanhood?? Im not selling $#!+ on Jimmer. Just pointing out facts. Somebody has to be getting hyped for national player of the year and if it cant be someone from SDSU than I would prefer it to be someone we actually had a chance to play. Better Jimmer, Than someone from kentucky, Duke, or North Carolina. By beating down the Jimmer it just makes it that much better. Every Hero needs a villain and we have the most notable in the Jimmer. Has it been so long since we (HUMMM last year maybe only had 10 total stories references on espn) that now since are team is finally maximizing its potential, we shouldn't post relevant media. Im soaking in all this media attention where ever it comes from. Not picking and choosing what I want to hear like some spoiled new aztec fans would like to do. Keep your Friends close, But your enemies even closer. "BYU TROLL??" Yeah im sure most Byu fans refer to themselves a Bike Helmet Hitlers.

Yeah im sure most Byu fans refer to themselves a Bike Helmet Hiltlers. I kinda wondered about that myself. It's no secret I'm not exactly a fan of Young Borg U. However, I like Fredette a lot. For one thing he doesn't go around like Kurt Warner did and thank Jesus Christ his "personal lord and savior" for all his accomplishments. And unlike that phony SOB Barry Bonds did, he doesn't go around pointing to the sky every time he does something significant. Have spiritual beliefs? That's great. However, keep them to yourself.

For one thing he doesn't go around like Kurt Warner did and thank Jesus Christ his "personal lord and savior" for all his accomplishments. And unlike that phony SOB Barry Bonds did, he doesn't go around pointing to the sky every time he does something significant. I dig Fredette because I dig bball and he's sort of like watching Marshall Faulk on a bball court, if that makes sense. He does sh*t that makes you shake your head and wonder if you really saw what you just saw. And that's usually just in the first 10 minutes of the game. I'd like to see him win POY award simply because he's flat-out the best college hoops player in the country, and it's not close. Same was true of Marshall in fball. Your point about his level-headedness, sgf/agf, is a good one. I've honked to several buddies about Fredette. Had three guys last week say they got to watch him play for the first time and were duly impressed. He's all that. But the first thing three of my buddies said was that the guy just goes to work. He could be the biggest showboat on the planet if he wanted to. He certainly has the game to back up the showboating. And he has the style of game to provide at least a dozen showboating opportunities per contest. In this day and age, it's almost expected of him. But instead, he just puts his head down and moves onto the next play. Just watch some of his highlights. Dude hits a half-court buzzer beater (at the half against CSU, I believe), and he just turns around and starts walking off the court with his teammates. No fist pump. No finger to the heavens. No being mobbed by his teammates. Just this in his head, I'm sure: "Yeah, I make those all the time in practice. No big deal. I expected to make that shot. So did my teammates. Time to listen to what Coach has to say at halftime." That's refreshing. Now, don't get me wrong, I hope my plan to slip a Quaalude into his pre-game fish taco at Viejas goes off without a hitch. I'd love nothing more than to see Tapley, Leonard and White swat two of his shots each into the bleachers. It'd be great to see him with a line of 5 pts., 4 turnovers, 1 assist and 4 fouls. But that's sorta like opponents hoping to hold Marshall to 40 yards rushing, 2 dropped passes and 3 fumbles. Could it happen? Eh, anything's possible. Is it likely? Not a chance.

Monty,
I've at least heard of all of those, except the India pale ale. If you can work an O'Douls in there, that kind of "variety" could work.
By the way, congrats on the DJ POW. His assist-to-turnover ratio is sick. Very underrated stat IMO. That gives you guys 3-4 more possessions a game. Significant.

Pilsners and lagers are fine (if they're good pilsners and lagers...), but for truly good brew, IPA is the way to go. Big time flavor! O'Douls is fine if you're the designated driver, otherwise, it's kinda like drinking decaf...

IMHO Fuller's Vintage Ale is the best beer of all time (http://www.fullers-ales.com/vintage_ale.php)
Of course that p(ales) in comparison to Azdick's margaritas, which if you're fortunate enough to attend, will be flowing in the T&M parking lot at the MWCT [happily inebriated face]
