How bout them Padres????? « Thread Started on Apr 7, 2012, 11:37pm »
Yessir. Well on their way to another 90-100 loss season. No middle infield except Moe and Curly and nothing in sight in the minors. The way overpaid H & H boys are Ofer and looking like that will be a trend. No clutch and no punch. The fantasy of Spring has disappeared yet once again. $9 beers and $6 hot dogs plague the stands. Ah, how I so miss the days when I lived there. $3 beers and $1.25 hot dogs. $1.50 popcorn. And a few wins. Hope Moores enjoys the extra money he will get now cause these guys are going nowhere.

I thank the Padres for being so terrible and the dodgers playing them early, dodgers will be in contention first couple months just by beating the padres 6 or 7 times the first 2 weeks and the new owners will have to make some moves. What a shame that Kemp and Kershaw are surrounded by absolute $#!+.
Sweet a win over Harang our ex pitcher that went to smellA for $$!
You're right, and if I were to be told before hand that we were only going to win one game of the series, this is the game I would have picked for the Pads to win. Always nice to beat a former player who departed to the not very well liked Dodgers.

The whole Dodger blue thing & Lasorda always made me want to puke!

So, in other words, SteveAztec and Lath were never you best friends?

Dee Gordan is fantastic. Ethier is solid. The rest of the team? Meh. Loney and AJ Ellis are ok. Mark Ellis, Uribe, Rivera are definitely $#!+. Bench players suck though I hope Gwynn JR does ok. Two good starting pitchers, two sub par starters. Above average pen. In this division they should hang around for a while.

It really is like deja vu I seem to have heard this very recently
I would love for him to face the Padres when they are here...Many fans will be pulling for him to shut out our anemic Padres....Including me.
Looks like he will miss the Padres. Unless they skip a pitcher on an off day (unlikely) he will pitch against the Dodgers in the first game of the series after the Padres games.
Imagine if a year took a century to unfold and you were born in the dead of winter; the coming of summer would seem a frightening change, with temperatures rising dramatically and seemingly without limit.

I'm going Saturday night vs. Phillies, and unless something changes, it's slated to be Doc Halladay for Philly. While obviously pulling for the Pads to get in that ass, It's pretty cool to see a bonafide ace like that in person.
