sounds like at the very least we're doing due diligence to try to get a tv figure. The mention of fox, me thinks, might be somewhat telling

Yeah since we have the entire month, we might as well see what the Big East has to offer financially.

I like the fact we are not rushing to Judgment either. But all that exit money does create a healthy foundation from which to build.

Theme I got is everything "maintains" as currently planned. The TV deal is the catch 22....hard to get a figure with SDSUs uncertainty, but yet SDSUs decision would be based largely on that number...chicken or egg comes to mind.
I have a funny feeling SDSU will opt to re-join the MWC (which is kinda funny since I am not sure we actually left)! Imagine the pressure on the SDSU brass, the only certainty is their decision will be debated either way so I am not sure they can make the correct one. Staying allows them to "get off the hook" as its the path of least resistence. Most people understand status quo in this case.

the Catholic 7 will remain part of the Big East next basketball season.
Basketball is gonna be loaded next year. The C-7 plus Louisville, Memphis and Temple. Maybe SMU and UCF.

It looks to me like SDSU and their market have value. AS monty said FOX seems interested. I like having ESPN and FOX competing for our home games. But hell, IDK $#!+. Its really a wait and see.

Who could possibly be the "Western Partner?" BYU? If not them, who? I'm thinking someone either new to or not belonging to the MWC. Who else is out there that's comparable to us with a good TV market?

Not going to start a new thread on this: Wondering what Marshall Faulk thinks SDSU should do. Wondering if he has had any direct input on the decision making process as an influential alumnus. Not a stretch to imagine Irvin, Sanders and crew have had much to say (rib) to Marshall since Boise left the nBE. No doubt Marshall has had some words in response. Just wondering.
