Since peer reviewed studies have shown that Bleacher Report is to one's brain as asbestos is to one's lungs, I clicked on the link and then scrolled through the story with the greatest possible speed. So maybe I just missed it, but I didn't notice a "pummel" prediction.

@ sleepinggiantsfan: Its on the second page of the story. Thanks. Since I've already endangered my health in the one minute I spent there, I'll take your word for it rather than venturing back.

Last year I would have said we had a 50/50 chance to beat them. This year, I don't know. We have questions at Quarterback and is our defense improved? We will find out in this game.
I think Rocky likes it when nobody gives us a chance, maybe we can sneak up on them.

This is why I do like Rocky's approach of laying low and not saying much. If they are a better team, then they'll win and although this is a writer and not the coaching staff or the team, I'm sure, just like Washington State, they'll think that State will be a push over due to departures. We'll see Sept 1st.

Washington State was a bad team.

Washington State was a bad team. Aztecs vs. Missouri in 2010 should have been the recent exception. However, we know what obvious, uncalled clipping penalties can do to Aztec efforts to sneak up on power conference teams. Play like every down counts. Even when the zebras are against you.

We'll see Sept 1st. Lou Holtz was even worse. Even his national title team got the gloom and doom treatment in the press due to him down-playing their team. It's an old school tactic rarely used anymore. Rocky is very old school.

I'm not sure the loss of Lindley is the negative everyone makes it out to be. Yes, this will be the first Aztec action for the new qb, but this is also the sort of game in which Lindley played very poorly during his career.

I really like our stable of running backs this year, but it sure would have been nice to run Hillman at them and see how they fare. The new WRs and an additional year of experience for the returning WRs may be the key.

Patience is also key, I know. But hitting the holes quickly with an O-Line in front of you that should be much improved will be important vs. the Huskies and any other team the Aztecs line up across from, all season long.

Title misleading... I don't see where UW said they will pummel us. I see an article by Bleacher Report saying so. Either way, hate to say, but they probably will. Lost starting QB, starting RB, no Miles Burris, receivers coming back don't have much of a resume, not much beef on the D line, etc. Just being real.
