UCF 's Keith Clanton (6'9" -245 lb) may consider transferring for the MBB, 2012-13 season ,now that UCF has been banned from post season. Last year he averaged 14.5 ppg, 8.1 rpg and 1.8 bpg

is this just speculation that he MAY want to transfer, or an actual rumor that he may soon transfer here?

How did you determine he was a "possible" transfer? Any link to SDSU or even Southern California?
This seems like one of those threads where someone raeds about a transfer somewhere in the USA and decides it is newsworthy for SDSU fans. Based on my knowldege, I would say there is less than a 1% chance he comes to SDSU. The guy is from Orlando.

I don't know if we would be interested in a player that weighed negative 245 pounds.

It might be possible if SDSU were to first transfer to Florida as it's thought he wants to stay in-state.

I added a comment to the story:
Aztecs. They have a spot open. They are pre-season top 10. With a good big man they are a final 4 team. They have already sold out the season in their 12,414 arena. They play in a conference that had 4 teams out of 8 make the NCAAs. They have a great schedule including Syacruse on an Air Craft Carrier, UCLA, and a tournament in Hawaii that includes Arizona. Last year they were a 6 seed using a 4 guard lineup. All 4 guards are back along with 6 new players who are all rated very good. This team is set but does need a big man. Did I mention the school is in San Diego?

Fish won't fill the one remaining roster spot almost under any circumstances. We're going to be fine this season but filling that spot could easily jeopardize future recruiting opportunities which could be "off the chart". Leave that spot open, get to the Final Four this season and see what happens. You will be pleasantly surprised.

I say we hop on this. You can never have enough bigs. Especially for a team as small as SDSU. Means we won't have to wait for December for a true post player. Means we won't be counting on James Johnson being something I already know he's not.

He's a beast! I wish he would come out west but, I highly doubt he would come to SD......S. Carolina, Miami, USF and Butler will be after him hard.......at least thats the word here in Orlando.

Aztecs biggest questions going into the fall is the play of their #4 and # 5 positions. We curently have an inexperienced group, not many D-1 starts from,Stephens, Skylar, Johnson (mid- December) JJ O' and a possible rotation of Shepard or Polee. We are going to need size, athleticism and experience to play D and rebound. Many of our quality opponents(Arizona,UCLA,UNLV, Orange, even Fresno & USC) have added to their frontline ,with top high school recruits and transfers .Could not hurt for the staff to make a call, Clanton has only 1 year left ,to impress the NBA scouts. We need a center , and he could put us in position to make a run in March Madness.
