State (meaning NC State) message boards that you guys should check out are: packinsider.com statefansnation.com packpride.com wolfpackwire.com (which catches all State sites and shows recent posts) We Wolfpack fans don't use scout.com thanks, I usually just look on collegeforumguide or whatever it's called and assume it's up to date and basketball is the same as football. |

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! From their board: "SDSU can flat out play some bball, period. Fisher has done a ridiculous job at a school whose fans are frequently too stoned to even realize that their team is playing most nights." I'd say that asshat is too stoned himself to realize SDSU sold out all their home games!  It's a good thing we're sending over a guy with the moniker "sdsustoner" to dissuade that opinion. |

Hey guys, humble NC State fan here. Just want to say, speaking for myself only, that I've always respected SDSU. If it had played out so that you all were matched up against anyone else (other than a #1 because we all know, that doesn't really work out no matter who you are) you would be my pick to win every time. You have an impressive resume this season and have done well for a while now, prior to this season. Here's to hoping we can keep this classy and enjoy a good gritty game between two solid teams. Oh and with reference to NC State boards, you're missing a key one. www.thewolfweb.com Sports Talk section is a particularly fierce one. There are some reasonable people there, and some really crazy fans too who are a little too fond of themselves and think they are the superb authority on everything, so don't judge us all based on that! But you might find some interesting reading material there. |

I've been to the show dozens of times. (In the old folks section). It looks like fun. You might be rightly criticized for fair weathered fandom though. It's a bandwagon world and the band is playing. In NC State, they have been long suffering and the fans are still there always. That is tobacco road. Hoops is king. Why would either those of us on SDSU's message board or the school in general (it is unclear what you mean by "you") be "rightly criticized" for fairweather fans? Anybody who reads the criticism in your post is highly unlikely to be a fairweather fan since they're posting here. Who can blame fairweather fans? They're usually not really big basketball fans and are looking for something fun to follow and successful teams are exactly that. If your point is simply that there are probably, per capita, more basketball fans, or college hoops fans specifically in North Carolina than San Diego then you're right and there's really no discussion to be had. What that has to do with the price of rice in China, I don't know. |

Sharp post right here from the NC State board: "I think those wins over Colorado State are good ones. They were something like the RPI #22 team. They played UNLV to a bucket in a two game split. That's the same Rebels team that beat UNC by 10 early this season when UNC was fully stocked. This will be a tough game. Fisher is a darn good coach and this is a guard oriented team (which gives us fits). I think the key for us will be limiting the turnovers. If we go in there and turn it over 15 times, then we'll be going home. We need to value the basketball, pound it inside and get to the line." Yep, that sounds pretty spot-on.
