This is the video of NC State celebrating getting into the Tournament. About 55 seconds in the head coach says they are going to win and they are going to the final four. How can a team make the final four without winning their first game? Considering they couldn't finish in the top four of their own conference this seems to be just a little bit of a stretch.

doesn't matter one way or another, but fisher is a much better xs and os coach than Gottfried.

Gott has tons f swagger but don't let the propaganda fool you. He's DEF. not looking past Friday. I (believe) he was saying that the team has the talent drive and ability to make that run. as does yours.

LOL, I love the "overconfidence." When coaches proclaim they are going to succeed like he just did, nothing good ever comes out of it. Watch the video and see how excited the team is when their name is called, that's because they didn't even think they would make the cut, however they are now a Final Four caliber team?
Granted, they just played UNC very tough, anything can happen. But if they came in with too much confidence, they are setting themselves for a big let down. It goes the same way for SDSU if they have that same attitude.

At least Uconn won their conference tournament. NC State has shown the ability to lose to quality schools and avoid terrible losses. Because he doesn't bow over to Coach K (who is self admittedly a bit of a douche himself) or Roy Williams (who is a complete asshole) Oh, I agree. I've been in the media room when Roy is hoisted into the media platform, and every legitimate question is off limits with his death stare. |

You would never hear any rationale coach ever say, we are going to the sweet sixteen or any other concrete predictions. The smart ones like Fish, go with "coach speak" in public. I wonder how Ryan from the Jets feels? You can have faith in your team without making gaffes. This was a gaffe for a coach. |

I haven't seen one analyst pick SDSU to win this one. Kind of sickening if you ask me. Just means that many brackets in Bristol & NY will be blown up right about Noon Pacific come Friday.
